About Us

My name is Brigette Mayer and I’m the owner of Calli Co. Pet Services, where we provide The Royal Treatment to you and your pets.

My love of animals is long-standing. From before I could even walk, my family had animals around our home and this remained constant throughout my childhood. I learned to care for cats, dogs, fish, and birds. We hit our maximum of 22 cats and kittens and 8 dogs and puppies at the same time — we eventually ran out of names and just named them in the order they were born (One, Two, Three…).

As I’ve grown up, animals have remained an important part of my adult life. In fact, Calli Co. Pet Services was named in honour of a very special feline, Queen Calli Boo the Kitty (you can see her picture on our home page). Calli was rescued from the Burnaby SPCA in 2003 and we shared our lives together through thick and thin, introducing my husband into the mix in 2005. We had years of good times, head butts, loud purrs, and early morning meows that could wake the neighbourhood. Unfortunately, Calli was diagnosed with ear cancer and ultimately passed away in early 2010. She is the inspiration for this business and will live on in The Royal Treatment we provide to our clients’ pets.

Currently, my husband and I are owned by two rambunctious sister kitties, Maya and Hazel, and a ‘fraidy-cat doggy, Lulu. All three are rescued animals and are the loves of our lives.

I have many years of experience caring for animals, including administering topical and oral medications. When I’m not caring for my own or our clients’ pets, I am an active volunteer at the New Westminster Animal Shelter. I am certified in Pet First Aid through St. John Ambulance. Calli Co. Pet Services is fully insured and bonded, so you can be sure that your pets and your home are well taken care of.

Most importantly, I am the caring, gentle, professional pet sitter and dog walker that will treat your fur baby as if (s)he were my own. Here at Calli Co. Pet Services, that is our top priority!
